The Army Corps of Engineers, the University of Washington Department of Architecture, the San Juan County Commissioner, the San Juan County Public Works Department, the San Juan County Marine resource Committee, and other government agencies, private preservation organizations and private citizens have agreed to restore the estuary entrance to its pre bridge condition and then build a new environmentally friendly bridge to enhance the Deer Harbor Lagoon Estuary. Estimate puts the cost of restoration of this invaluable improvement at over $2,500,000 |
